Cragfont & Wynnewood are open for historic house tours Thursday through Sunday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
from April 6th through November 12th.
Guided tours of Cragfont are available Thursday through Sunday at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., and 2 p.m.
Guided tours of Wynnewood are available Thursday through Sunday at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.
Guided tours of Hawthorn Hill are available one Saturday a month from April through October - Reservations for Hawthorn Hill are required and tickets may be purchased on our events page.
Tickets for Cragfont & Wynnewood can be purchased on-site. Group reservations may be made for Cragfont, Wynnewood, and Hawthorn Hill by contacting collections@historiccastaliansprings.org
Through October 31st Cragfont’s historic landscape will be open to visitors Thursday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at no charge.
Visitors may choose to participate in our staff guided tours of Cragfont’s historic landscape offered at 10 a.m, 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Guided historic landscape tours will NOT include access to the historic house, but will focus on the often overlooked history of Cragfont’s surroundings. Visitors will learn about Fort Tuckahoe, the Holston Road, the architecture of Cragfont, and about the lives and dwellings of the enslaved workers.
Guided tours of Cragfont’s historic landscape will be at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. Please note that guided historic landscape tours are approximately 1 hour and require walking over uneven ground.

The visitors center and the historic house will remain closed until further notice. Visitors to Cragfont should practice social distancing and adhere to CDC guidelines to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
Beginning on October 1st, Wynnewood will be open for guided house tours Thursday through Sunday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wynnewood’s historic landscape will be open to visitors Thursday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at no charge. Guided landscape tours will be available at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday through Sunday for $5 per person.
Visitors may choose to participate in our staff guided tours of Wynnewood’s historic landscape offered daily at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. or staff guided tours of Wynnewood’s historic interiors offered daily at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Please note that guided grounds tours do not include access to the interior of the historic house and guided house tours do not include a grounds tour.
On either tour visitors will learn about the springs and salt lick, the Castalian Springs mound complex, the architecture of Wynnewood, the resort era, and the lives of the site’s inhabitants.
Historic house tours will be limited to six people and will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Visitors must abide by COVID-19 protocols and will be required to wear a mask while inside the historic house. Please see our regular tour pricing.
